Okay, I got a running cut at a total of 9 minutes, it’s still not close to my 7-8 minute goal but the meat of the story is there, I didn’t want to have things drag and in every crit we’ve had so far, the running length has been the issue, alongside the audio which has been harder to fix than the actual movie itself. Still though, all of my fears and anxieties have been put to rest mostly. I’ll probably recut all if not most of the second act because that’s the longest portion of the film.
I have been working on my next short on the side, which I want to put into festivals next year if possible, so there will be a post sometime next month (July) about the story and all that good stuff. My roomie from SF may be co-writing it with me since we talked about doing a story ages ago together, which may be this.
